I don't let my plants die.

I let them live. If my plants were walking beasts would they kill me?

    Orchids against cotton clouds.

Maybe the clouds are the reason plants grow upwards.

    My yellow rose plant.

I love the pale yellow of this flower. A little sad and delicate. Now with all my quiet friends in the balcony, it is time to play some light music, maybe drink some wine and have a little quiet chat with them. Ah. This is my ideal Sunday evening.

My pride and joy when I step into my balcony

every day. This hibiscus shrub has a new flower for me every two to three weeks. I am thinking of getting another pot with yellow flowers.

    My first time planting tomatoes.

. I didn't read the instructions before I put dirt than the whole package of seeds than more dirt let's just say they didn't grow more than a whole bunch of stems and died haha I learned my lesson so I restarted and I have a healthy plant of tomatoes.

I miss my patio container garden!

I have grown pineapple, aloe vera, basil, stevia, and even sweet potatoes out there. Right now I am just taking care of some orchids I got for my birthday. Once I get a house, it is my goal to have a fruit and vegetable garden. I am really looking forward to it!

Even weird things like fearsome cacti

and a marimo ball that I'm keeping for my sister, or difficult plants like my parent's roses and peach and nectarine trees that I've pruned to perfection every year give me happiness. I love dirt and green life and every creeping thing over and under it all.

I have only just started learning about plants,

but I am already hooked. Plants have such a calming effect on me - I feel at peace whenever I am around them, and always have done - and I am now spending more and more time learning about them. I only have six plants so far, an ever growing Calathea (these seem especially...

I thought it said "pants." Because I love taking care of my pants. Especially the ones I don't have to iron.

My Widow's Thrill. New member in my balcony.

What a strange name. There is so much sun at my new balcony it seems such a waste not to invite more of these beautiful things.
