    The DNA Of Modern Music

From their birth and their and initial recordings in, what, 1963 to May 1970 - funnily enough, the month that I was born - when Macca released his infamous press release interview, the Beatles changed lives, changed cultures and helped to make Britian proud... They helped to...

Still The Greatest Band Of All Time

Lots of people say "they were the best." I say they ARE the best. Until you can show me somebody better, I will continue to say so. They did so much in such a short time and the music is still popular and sounds so fresh. It must have been so cool to be around during their time...

    Revolver..!

The Beatles music is timeless, no bounderies. I love Revolver "Tommorrow Never Knows". John Lennons voice is haunting in that song. George Harrison was my favorite Beatle. I thought on his own he was a fantastic songwriter. I love "What is Life" such a question in a song.

    Finding the Beatles

When I was 15, I went to the library to get some cassettes. I'd get a few rock ones when I went in, just to get a taste of the music.  The price was right - FREE.  I went through Journey, Ram Jam, and Steve Miller.  They were all pretty good.  For...

I grew up listening to the Beatles through my

parents. " Yellow Submarine" was the 1st I remember. I thought it was a silly song and I would play it over and over. As time passed I enjoyed all their songs and musicians. Ringo is still my favorite. I was fascinated by their history. I even bought an original of the Silver...

My earliest childhood music memories include

listening to the radio in the back seat of my dad´s brand-new 1973 Charger. At that time, I became very fond of Paul McCartney and George Harrison songs- which were rocking the airwaves at that time. I remember hearing the song "Something", and recognizing it as Harrison´s...

Here is something I wish I knew: Everyone

who followed the Beatles knows that there was a creative tension between John and Paul. Although at one time they were really close both as friends and as artists (at least before Yoko), they were also, clearly, very different in their sensibilities both as musicians and as...

"This Boy" ~ from album Meet The Beatles !

(1964) (...another one of my favorite songs, the harmonies are beautiful and the words still poignant. As my sister and I remember it, I always loved John best, even though I admired George's guitar playing, too. My sister loved Paul, and enjoyed Ringo's sense of humor. )

since I was a little girl and used to mumble "All You Need Is Love" all the time. My dad raised me on oldies and used to sing oldies music to me. So I guess I like oldies better than Justin Bieber and the stuff on the radio today. :D

The Beatles can never be replaced.
