I Love The Book " A Child Called It "

One Child's Courage to Survive 135 People

"a Child Called It" Inspired Me

A few years ago I read the book, "A Child Called It". I cried like most people as I read it. I also wanted to reach out and help him. To let him know that there were more of us out here. I am a victim of child abuse. I did not tell anyone the details until three years ago...

    Awww...

This book broke my heart everytime I would read some of it...  I cried as I was reading it.  But, what I think breaks my heart is that I volunteer at a Community Center in a bad area, and I know some of the kids that I see have experienced stuff like that, and I would...

    I Read This Book

I must say it was an awful good book. Awful because it was about child abuse and child abuse is never good and I say good because he talks about his life with it as a kid and he lived and survived and he didn't grow up to be a messed up person. This book made me cry and I had to...

    In High School

I really got into psychology.  So I was at Target one day looking through their books section when I ran across "A child called it."  I scooped it up right away and read straight through it.  I continued to read the rest of his books.  He was truly inspiring...

Read This One In High School

on my own choice. I have read all of Dave's books well the ones in this series.  But he has others I want to read yet.  My brother actually read them all too. I'd say I don't know how a mother can do such things but she was clearly mentally ill. :(

    How Could She

i have read the book twice and cried like a baby both times. the book also makes me feel more hatred then i have ever felt before. i dont see how a mother can hate her own flesh and blood that much. just makes me want to hunt her down and give her a little taste of her own...

I have this book, but I only read it once

because there is some horrifying stuff in it. Even worse that it all really happened. I have the sequels too. I liked reading about how Dave Pelzer got through all the terrible abuse from his mom and made something of himself. It shows that you can come from the worst...
