I Love the Harry Potter Books and Movies

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 593 People

10 friends and I got together and watched all 8 movies in one sitting. We started at 11am and finished at 7am. Harry Potter made 11 teenage girls give up a full night's sleep. Magic, indeed.

    Yes Yes

Well I simply love the books but the movies are completely STUPID.  Not even a butcher could cut something so brutally. I've only seen 4 but I've had enough, seriously.

I Had A Crush On Hp

I've loved the books forever, on fact I've read the series eight times in a row. We I was younger I discovered that I had a crush on Harry James Potter. I ever started to act like he was real. Every night after I was done reading I'd say something like "Good night Harry, I love...

I've always wanted to watch and read the Harry Potter movies and books. But by the time they were out, I wasn't even 8 years old. So, my father did not buy me the books and I only watched the first movie. My friends at primary school were all fans and I felt bad about not...

I wish that the Mirror of Erised was real

so I could just gaze upon it and see what I should be trying to achieve. I have no idea what path I'm on and where I should be headed. That's life I guess.

Every time I read them I am still

so in awe about how amazing they are. And I still get worked up when reading the last book because I know it has to end and I wish it never would end because I love them so much.

    Simply Magical

The books I've loved since I was a kid (except the last one, a bit boring) and the movies were quite good. I guess a lot of people don't like how long they are but that makes them even better. It's like 2 and a half hours of greatness.

I am around the same age

as the main cast and was exactly eleven when the first movie, Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone, came out. My class literally grew up with Harry Potter. <3 Anytime I want to relive a piece of my childhood, I pop in the movies or reread the books. ⚡️

I know! I know! I am too old to be into Harry Potter, but it is a guilty pleasure. A friend of mine lent me "Philosophers Stone" after her son had read it, and I've been hooked since then. Joanna Rowling did a great job with the entire series. Not quite as deep as JRR Tolkien...

    In both movie and books,

the first thing Snape said to Harry is: " tell me, what would you get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of Wormwood?" according to Victorian flower and language, asphodel is a type of Lily meaning "my regrets follow you to the grave" and wormwood means "absence...

    Hp Just Changed Me!

I will say I grow up with Harry Potter, esp the movies. Though I would say I prefer the books still, movies just can't put the charm on me that strong. Anyway,  it's so interesting to see through the movie series, and it's when I was 11, 12, 13,...till now 22. We all grow up and...
