    Illegal Listening

In the 80's when at boarding school - lights out at 8 - I used to listen to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on the radio - brilliant, laughed out loud a lot - nearly got caught listening. Even now I can recite many of the lines. I love it.

I have always been amazed at how Douglas Adams

managed to write such a clever and funny book. Really made science interesting and informed the likes of Red Dwarf which is also brilliant. Off to the Douglas Adams memorial lecture in London tonight. The talk is on "The science of Harry Potter and the maths of the Simpsons...

    My Favourite

I first heard about it when I saw the movie, but after I read the book, I obviously loved it more (the movie changed the plot! wtf? -_-). Douglas Adams was a genius. He's in my list of people I would love to meet dead or alive (May he rest in peace).

    Who Else Loves Ford Prefect?

A man who  mistakenly names himself after a car and sticks with it even after he finds out  he's wrong deserves a fan like me. I think i identify with him more than anyone else, then arthur, then trillian in that order. I just love this series, it's a pan galactic gargle...

    Curiously enough, the only thing

that went through the mind of the bowl of petunias as it fell was Oh no, not again. One thing that always makes me laugh.

    Love The Cow...... And Marvin

Recently started retreading these books, checked into the process of how Douglas Aadams wrote the books. Very interesting how many versions there are. I especially like the cow at the Restaraunt at the End of The Universe. This book taught me never to take myself or my own...

There is a theory which states that

if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.
