    Home

A business trip took me home recently. I suppose it's not really "home", as the place I live now is the same city I have lived in for the majority of my life. But coastal North Carolina is home to me. Has been from the moment I first arrived there. I lived there for four years...

There Has To Be At Least A River Close To Where I Live...

Whenever I am too far away from water I feel like I am literally drying out. I just love the sound of wind and waves, just love to look out into the wideness and vastness of the ocean. It just feels great to look at the horizon and feeling that when there's so much space in this...

Since childhood, I've been fascinated by the

abundance and diversity of life that the oceans support. I wondered, almost ached inside, to know what lays in the depths where humans are unable or unwilling to venture. And so, I became a marine biologist. During and after college, Jacques Cousteau was popular and I thought...

I've only actually seen it twice.

I went to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for vacation a couple of times. I stood in the ocean a little but I didn't swim in it. I hate open water. My imagination goes wild and I panic. So I doubt I'll ever swim in it, but I do like to look at it, be on the beach, hear the waves.
