I Love the Ocean

Being in the middle of the ocean invigorates

fear, and a curious nature. An ocean that swallows the light while and keeps it's secrets, deep - deep away from any humans, what do you hide?

    I always loved the Ocean

since I was a small boy. Whenever I travel to countries, I do always want to find an island where I can simply dip in the sea which has a crystal clear water and plenty of fish. When I go into the ocean, I always feel very much at peace, relieve of all tensions, let my whole...

I love to sail on the ocean (Pacific,

Atlantic), Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, Chesapeake Bay, San Diego Bay, and, when necessary, the ICW. Have sailed in these places and, perhaps more, but can't remember them because I was strapped into the gimbaled chair because of a little too much alcohol, or a storm and didn...

No matter the weather, whether the sun is shining and it's hot or it's raining and cold. No matter the location, the pacific, the mediterranean, the atlantic, the indian ocean. Being there at the beach, hearing the waves roll in, smell the salt in the air and on your skin makes...

Call me Ishmael. Some years ago,

having little or no money, I thought I would sail about and see the oceans of the world. Whenever I get grim and spleenful, whenever I feel like knocking people’s hats off in the streets, whenever it’s a damp, drizzly November in my soul, I know it’s high time to get to...

One of natures true magnificent things.

To sit close to the shoreline as the angry waves roll up the beach, and create a swoosh. Such a peaceful side of nature. Something that's been happening for thousands of years. I could sit and watch it all day . It gives me a reason to admire the beauty of nature . I'm not.a sun...

    So peaceful, so serene,

so calming. The pounding of the waves! The power of the tide! "Because there's nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it's sent away."

but I just love seeing these herons. I once lived in a house with a tree in the backyard in which they nested. My kids and I refer to them as "the pterodactyls".

My last trip to the ocean was to Port Aransas,

Texas, at the top of Padres Island. I went there for my birthday last December, with my big sis. The beach has always been my favorite place to go. The sound of the surf, the feeling of sand under my feet. The salt air, the seagulls! Pure joy!!

Whenever I am too far away from water I feel like I am literally drying out. I just love the sound of wind and waves, just love to look out into the wideness and vastness of the ocean. It just feels great to look at the horizon and feeling that when there's so much space in this...
