Today I went on a long hike through the forest,

and crossed the creek over fallen trees. I saw an owl. Being alone and breathing in the scent of the pines and grasses just gives me that tingly sensation all over. You know that feeling.

Sometimes I feel like it holds all the answers

to every single question you have. One only needs to stop and listen. And the calm that you experience when you truly connect with nature is something wonderful.

    The Experience Of Walking Outdoors

It's very beautiful outside tonight. I always think it's beautiful outside at nighttime though. I live in a part of the city where there are so very many trees, and a couple streams, and woodsy areas and little animals about. The sky is open and uninterrupted by tall buildings...

One of the coolest places in the great Rocky

Mountains to me, is the high altitude town of Telluride CO.There is a Gondola that travels back and forth from it to Mountain Village. It is a spectacular 13 minute ride, and is the first and only 'free' public transportation system of its kind in the United States. You get a...

Lilacs are out now where I live.

.. What do they remind you of, and what do they smell like to you? I think they are intoxicating. It depends on how hot or cool the day is, and how mature the lilac is. Sometimes they smell fresh and crisp like a grape jellybean, the last one left in the Easter basket, lol...

    My Sanctuary

There is almost nothing I like more than being outdoors. Working in my garden or walking in the forest restores my soul. I like being a wanderer of the world. I literally feel myself recharge when I step into the forest. I'm fortunate to live close to the woods and it's magical...

    My Dad had a passion

for life and an incredible imagination. As a child we would do this whether it was clouds, rocks, drift wood or peering into the campfire: “What do you see Luv?”, he would say…. So how many faces can you see here? I see three… I really miss him.

Or feeling like you are. Being outside amongst all the beauty of nature brings me great joy! I had the privilege to go camping at this location last thanksgiving. I spent the entire weekend checking out the trails in the area. By far an amazing experience. :-)

so I spend most of my time outdoors. It's the perfect job for those who want to be out in nature. I get paid to wander through God's creation, watching nature at its best producing flowers and the off spring of new life filling the woods, creeks, and marshes. What a great job
