so I spend most of my time outdoors. It's the perfect job for those who want to be out in nature. I get paid to wander through God's creation, watching nature at its best producing flowers and the off spring of new life filling the woods, creeks, and marshes. What a great job
It's very beautiful outside tonight. I always think it's beautiful outside at nighttime though. I live in a part of the city where there are so very many trees, and a couple streams, and woodsy areas and little animals about. The sky is open and uninterrupted by tall buildings...
trail I walk/jog on. The overcast day was a perfect backdrop for the vibe of it.Like tendrils reaching into the sky. Standing as a silent sentinel to the passage of time.Always thought I'd write a story to go with it, but it never came to me. So, the image speaks for itself...
but there's something about nature that brings peace to the mind.
Is it the wind blowing gently and softly brushing up against the skin? Is it the birds chirping creating beautiful melodies? Maybe it's basking in the warmth of the sun kissing the skin ever so softly? Idk but...
It was cloudy and v windy with a hint of sunshine at times.
Just then a lovely couple came looking for a lost sea lion pup. We too joined them in the search and not very far, we found a weak, abandoned sea lion pup. It's hind body was very skinny and bony. It looked like it was...
It's nice to just go down by the lake and forget about everything that's happening in your life and in the world. Just focus on yourself a little bit, reflect, relax and partake in a beautiful fall day!
Life has a few simple pleasures, but this is one of them!
Yesterday, I went to the boulangerie and took myself for a walk around in Parc Villette, to escape for a while.
Sometimes I jump on my bike and ride to the Fôret de Fontainbleau to escape the mundanity of everyday life.
and even though I'm not the most physically fit person in the world, who doesn't enjoy a scenic vista and brisk hike? :P I just wish there were more nature-y things to see around Chicago. I want mountains and deserts and giant trees and stuff :P Not just beaches and fields...
the sun shone brightly, the birds sang in the trees. One particularly brave little mockingbird was imitating a hawks cry. Made me chuckle.
life is good. the world awakens from the sleep of winter as the cycle turns anew. snow and ice, thaw and melt, creating the lifeblood of...
jittery, clumsyI recalled, the way the rain spilledonto my skin..the air, no longer stinging my lungsexpelling a harvest of frostwith each heaving breath, but rather, cradling them in scentsof apple blossom and wet bark, lichenrich under my fingertipsI remind myselfthe world is...
and dirty. I know most girls aren't so I go on adventures through the forest myself most times. All my friends ditch me cause they're those type of girls who are on their phones all the time but it's whatevs.
or more than most. I have met a few people on here who are as passionate as me about the out doors.
I have one question to them and the rest of the community, Why is man spoiling it. I read and listen to people complain about trash in the streets and parks...pick it up..bend...

There is almost nothing I like more than being outdoors. Working in my garden or walking in the forest restores my soul. I like being a wanderer of the world.
I literally feel myself recharge when I step into the forest. I'm fortunate to live close to the woods and it's magical...

I love being outdoors and basking in the sun, going to the beach, walking and going on road trips. Some laugh when I say I want to work on a farm with animals. But I love the outdoors. I work two jobs because I vacation twice a year.
Almost five gallons.
But me raked it.
And classified it.
Didnt look for nuggets.
Its wash surface.
My hands know why.
But did it all on my own.
Without spooking lizards.
