I Love the Outsiders

I first read this book when I was 12. My friends and I went nuts over all the actors when the movie came out.

I even made it required reading when I taught 6th grade.

There is also a 20th anniversary DVD out that has extra scenes...

There were two seperate classes in my grade, one that studied and read the book the Outsiders and one that didn't. Unfortunately, I was not in the class that  got to read Outsiders, but I discovered it on my own.I borrowed the movie...

My class read the book and I loved it before we even finished the book as a class I watched the movie almost everyday I'm so obsessed with Sodapop Curtis he's MINE I keep taking quizzes to see wich outsider I was and almost every time...

The movie was good, but I would call the book much, much better since it goes into more detail about each character and why they are the way they are. I was fortunate to be in the English class that made it a mandatory book to read...

The Outsiders is my favorite book and has been since I first read it. It's terribly sad, but it depicts real life. Good and bad. Every teenager should read it, it might give them some perspective on what's important in life.
