My school is surrounded by redwoods. i feel like one of the luckiest people on the planet to have the opportunity to live and study here. the air is fresh and filled with pine, i can study or go for a walk in between classes, or mash up the trails on my bike. <3

    Proud To Be A Piney

I live in the heart of the Pine Barrens and am surrounded by trees.  Several times each week I walk my dog on the trails through the woods behind my home and am always amazed at how relaxing the stroll is.  Unfortunately, the previous homeowner had a real hatred of pine...

A hot summers day in the pine forests brings

out the spicy smell of pine, and the enjoyment of the fresh fragrances in your nasal cavities while you walk and list to the breeze gently make the pine needles "rush". Another of God's magic delights to give man pleasure.

    Peace In The Night

Some years ago, when I was assigned to a scout platoon in the Army, we were assigned an area to bivouac in and run our ops from. Turned out it was an old pine plantation, the forest floor about 4 inches thick with fluffy pine needles. After running recon rehearsels and then...

A long time ago, when I lived in Nebraska, I traveled to the Nebraska National Forest, which is almost in the center of the state. I lived some ways to the south at that time. I visited there a few time with my wife, and we even camped there one time. This forest is not...

    Be It In the Woods....

I love the smell of pine after a rain storm - how fresh and clean the air smells But more so, it reminds me of the cold winter evenings of late shopping in December, when they are being sold out on the streets to be dressed up in festive wear and be the keeper of presents...

    Not the Chemical Equivalent

The real thing is amazing.  Pine cleaners for the home cannot duplicate the truly fresh sensation of inhaling pine in a forest and letting it drift through your nose into your mind, engaging it in a spiritual uplift. It carries with it quite a lot of beauty!

    I Really Enjoy the Redwoods...

I really enjoy the redwoods, they always smell so clean and fresh and new, even though they're ancient.  It's a scent that I just can't seem to forget and find myself occassionally longing for more with.
