I tried to learn the guitar

when I was younger but I lost interest. Does anybody know any good websites or what's the easiest way to teach yourself? :)

    I have played guitar

for 25 years now. I just absolutely love the sounds of different guitars. Every guitar has its own beautiful tone that is just magical to the ears

Growing up, my dad played guitar around us

sometimes, and he always seemed to love making music. It was fascinating to see him that way, and to learn more about him through it. When I was going through the teenage years, it was Ani Difranco's music among others that really helped the world to make sense, and her guitar...

Across The Octave Of The Guitar

I love playing the guitar and which obviously means i love the sound of the guitar. I prefer my guitar (Ibanez RG2EX1) in drop C ( C G C F A D) when i play. many of the guitarists i listened to growing up played in that tuning. Michael Amott ( arch enemy) Alexi Laiho ( children...

    There are certain guitarists

who just leave you speechless when you listen to some of their stuff. Back in the 70s it was Richie Blackmore during his Rainbow era - wild and pure; then it was the completely different sound ofTony Iommi of Black Sabbath - full and deep. More recently it is the utterly...

I love the guitar. My cousin gave me one last

Christmas, but two of the strings are messed up and I never got a chance to fix them. Once I get the strings replaced I would really love to learn how to play.

    The Power Of Music...

Whenever i get upset or sad or anything really.....if i listen to music with a really good guitar....i tend to loosen up and start jammin along with it....i get lost in it....when i play my guitars..either one of them....i can feel the vibrations and the music just flow through...

I just put a 12 string on layaway.

I got month to wait but I just love how it make simple cords sound beautiful. It's almost like a Mandocello, but with 2 more strings it's more toward the guitar side than the mandolin. Maybe I'll start learning more conventional music.

    A bluesy guitar is fabulous,

so is a reggae guitar. But I like a rock guitar, playing a riff I can identify with in my bones. The lyrics to the sound must resonate too.

I do love the sound of a guitar

as well as other instruments. Stringed instruments are among my favorites because those i can usually play by ear. Or used to be able to I should say. Music in general helps me get through my days....No discrimination either...I love all kinds. it only matters if I can FEEL it...

I saw electric guitar covers of old rock songs. I loved the sound soooo much. And I can't deny that an acoustic has its own special magic. There's a great sense of joy playing with a guitars strings and making sounds. I want to learn more. It's another struggle, but well worth it...

I'm listening to Jeff Buckley because,

well, why not? I didn't listen to him growing up and neither did anyone around me. I've wanted to listen to something with a bit of disdain in its melody and alternative music gives me that. And all of the youtube signs have been pointing to him. Some of my fave songs from...

Guitar will always be special to me,

acoustic is so soothing, sweet, or romantic, or can be powerful too depending on the song and how its played. I especially love when guitarists add the percussive sounds, the taps on the strings and shell without missing a note, so amazing to me, adds depth and rhythm and draws...

    While My Guitar Gently Weeps

I adore the sound of guitar. The soundtrack of my life is composed of guitar-driven rock/pop. There's something very moving, beautiful, and timeless about the sound of a guitar.

    This is a random example

but firstly let me say I play guitar so I know the inner workings and can appreciate this sound beyond just "that sounds cool!". But... David Gilmours tone on Learning to Fly is just absolutely perfect. It's so fluid. It's so alive! It's just perfect. I mean I can't even really...
