Ah I Miss Creating With Clay :)

I haven't made anything with clay in a while. I'm beginning to miss it something terrible. I just love how the stress slowly melts away when you start putting all of your focus on the clay. I prefer not to use the softened clay just for the purpose that I love to soften it myself...

    My Clay Story

Hi, I am Amanda, and I am 18 years old, and I work with Polymer Clay.  I started about 3 years ago.  I like to do it, because it is a good relaxation.  I make boxes and ink pens look more pretty.  I also make pins that people can wear.  I make all sorts...

    Clay, The Other Flesh

The pictures you see above is of my latest work. It is based on a design i came up with in 1993.  I was sitting at work one day and the design of this vase came to me.  This is a double fluted vase and as far as i know i am the only one who makes these types of vases. My work...

When I work in clay, I love the feel of it in my hands, the smell as I open that fresh new bag, and the delight as I see the piece come out of the kiln the first time! Its like Christmas! And then to pick the glaze!!!! Another gift to see when it is done and out of the kiln! I...

    Fancy Mud Pies

I love ceramics. I love the feel of soft, smooth porcelain sliding between my fingers as I throw on the wheel. I enjoy the coarse firmness of low-fire clay as I hand build some new creation. I like falling into a bit of a trace when I'm throwing or creating something that...

    Polymer Clay Newbee

I just started polymer clay 3 weeks ago and I think it's the first hobby I will actually stick with.  I try to make my canes look like the ones in this book I got but I screw up and they look nothing like that but they are still beautiful!  It's an art you can do...

    Love It!

I don't use the kind that needs to bake in a kelm, but clay that naturally just dries and hardens by itself. It is the best. I can make something, mold it anyway I like, and it works with me so well and never screws up in some way I don't want it too, and if it does, I can easily...
