I Love To Look At Fire

    I recently enjoyed watching my husband's ******

burn in a fire. When I found out he was gay and was having an affair with his best friend of 35 years, I gathered up love letters, pictures, lingerie, and anything else (****** included) that reminded me of the lies I had been living in and I threw them in the fire. It was...

I just like to see the beautiful flame uprise.

As if it's life, turning up in a split second. Like boom, it's alive. But then boom, it's gone, into thin air. The beautiful red flame is now black and dead. Burnt and destroyed.

    Peace

A roaring fire is one of the most peaceful things I can think of in life. It reminds me of my childhood spent around the campfire as my father played card games with us or told us stories by the kerosene lantern's light.  Even just thinking about it now brought peace over me...

Some of the best times are sitting around the

fire. Telling a story, singing, or just talking about whatever. What I look forward to about camping is the fire and the time spent there.

    Fire is mesmerizing..

. It's ability to destroy, and it's capacity to create, intertwine in a beautiful display of raw, carnal power.

Back when I went to see family friends in their

cabin by the lake, we would make the long trek (good luck trying to get back to the cabin quickly have to go to the bathroom bad) to the lake side where we set up a campfire. I'd poke sticks in it, just staring, lost in thought. Then there was that one time my mom was messing...

    The crackle of the wood,

the roar of the flames and the warmth of this beautiful fire. It's cold and wet outside, let's not go there in that unfriendly world my dear. Sitting on the thick, shaggy rug I dig my toes into the furry ground, hot chocolate seeping warmth into me. I need comfort on this...

It takes me away, the look of fire,

to another world, twisting, turning, climbing, swirling, red, blue hue, yellow and orange, up and aside and all around, the visions always bring life to a curious intellect, wondering and wandering flames, into the sky, against a black drop of night.. Trees around, especially...

Down by the water I made a small bonfire every

night last week while on vacation. Leaves, twigs, smaller, than larger branches - roast some marshmallows, then go to bed smelling like wood smoke - I miss that

we need ANFO, C4, and maybe triethylaluminum.

lets blow a building up: like a school, or an apartment complex and get like 500 people or so and lets just chill under the stars and watch the constellations. we can observe how the night sky blue fades to a bright, vibrant purple and maybe catch a shooting star. maybe play...

    It's mesmerizing and warm

and reminds me of campfires because camping is filled with fun and laughter and silliness and memories of kidless, care free nights and drinking and skinny dipping and not being a responsible adult. I love those memories. I grew up way too fast.
