I Love to Meditate

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 241 People

I see meditation as an adventure in a

difference dimension. It serves me well to achieve inner peace, to tap into deep inspirational sources, and to gain perspective in the face of difficulty. But from time to time, the whole thing throws me a big surprise and I end up collecting thoughts and revelations that astound...

    Be Water

“Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless - like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be...

    I Love to Meditate

I love to meditate in the early morning, right after I take my dog out for her run. It helps me get set for my day.  Every now and again I actually find time to meditate in the evening .I would love to find more time to meditate but as long as I get in one session a day I am...

Almost every night I have time to,

I take 15 minutes to just lay down, breathe deeply, fully relax and meditate. There are some great recordings I listen to that help me fully unwind and drift off to sleep. Meditation can be so simple.. Some people say they can't do it, but I've learned it's not really a matter...

I wake myself up in the morning with meditation,

just after my shower. To do so in the window with the sun (or ambient light if it's cloudy) in my face is very invigorating. I feel that it's important to prepare my mind and body for the day.

Never imagined doing meditation in my life

but a breakup from a LTR was too strong that it kept me in the past (depression) or in the future (anxiety). Meditation keeps me present - the only time I can control.

When I meditate I feel calm relaxed in tune

with something bigger then myself maybe it's God or a higher power or the universe or maybe it's just as simple as my own soul

One of my favorite forms of relaxation is

meditating in front of my altar at home. When I'm home, I'm already nude, but if I wasn't a nudist I would still be sure to be clothesfree when I meditate. The connection between self and Universe is much stronger and brings more clarity when you are naked. On my altar, I have...

outside in this nice beautiful weather- nice wind blowing gently against the skin and the sun providing warmth to balance out the cool of the air~ During meditation, I imagined myself floating up away from all of my anxieties and problems...I honestly wanted to cry but I couldn...

Twice it happened to me during meditation,

once I was being guided and the other time I was on my own. All of a sudden, I start grinning and giggling and laughing! It was so strange, it wasn't like "I am laughing". It was more like "I am laughter"!!! It felt like I had gone so deep inside to my core, and found this...

    Meditation Techniques

Hey, I notice there hasn't been much activity here lately in this group, but I have a general question that if anyone has answers or thoughts toward I would be appreciative to read them. I'm wondering what technique you use for meditating? I am new to the whole practice, but I...

    I have several medical issues

and was introduced to progressive muscle relaxation and later meditation. I have learned to use both to help with pain, headaches, and muscle spasms. I have to admit, at first I didn't think I could do it but I got these cds at the library that guided me with both and my neuro...
