Hi everyone, just wondering what we think of

gesso? I've never used it and my pieces never seem to suffer from it. Anyone here who swears by it?

I suck at painting. But I don't care.

I use painting to express problems such as my mental illnesses; psychosis, ocd, depression, social phobia. I usually do abstract-ish paintings. Here are two of my abstract paintings, the one of the left represents psychosis, and the one on the right represents social phobia, the...

Perhaps because spring is just around the

corner, or my mind is on bunny baskets (love bunny baskets :) or perhaps it's for some other reason altogether, but I just love looking at photos of bunnies. I almost drove to the Animal Humane Society to see if there were bunnies to cuddle. Then I saw this and fell in love. Isn...

    Computer Art

When i was little I came up with my own way of painting on the computer, and now I'm going to share with you how I did it. First open the paint program on your computer.  I drew out a quick sketch to get you started. First use the shift button to draw and even cross.  To...

I do commission pet portrait paintings

for a job on the side (cause I am still in high school). But most of the time, I am not given the name of the pet I am painting. So I name them. There is Morgan, Rigby and of course, Queen of the Jowls. These are not the names of the dogs, and everytime my customer slips the...

I am trying to make enough money to go on a

trip through painting for extra money, but I just can't background. First it's too dark, now it's too light. Dark subject matter is so stressful. Must look good. This is my only income dammit.

    Magic Of Painting

Painting is amazing way of expression. I started to paint when I was 6 . I always wanted to become an artist, to organize my own exhibition. But I’ve never belived that I’ll get a chance to try. I don’t imagine my life without colors. It doesn’t exist for me...

It's amazing, I've never found anything else to

be quite as fulfilling to my spirit than manifesting physically the images that come to my mind. I always feel unable to communicate clearly or say exactly what I mean unless it is by drawing and painting a picture. This wonderful to be able to live and paint :D

    It's a hobby of mine

I started painting last year to relieve stress.

Now I'm absolutely addicted. I've somehow gotten into space scenes, which are wonderfully abstract in every way, and managed to cover a whole wall in my room with them. It's like my own personal masterpiece.

I spent the entire day painting yesterday

and will probably do the same today. I love the rush of seeing your creation turn into what you have in your head. I should point out, I don't paint on a canvas, I paint miniatures, but it still counts as painting I think.

Painting allows me to escape my brain

but at the same time explore parts of it I didn't even know existed. I paint with some of my favorite music blasting and it is so therapeutic. I get carried away with the colors and the motion of what I am creating as well as the sounds that I am surrounded by. I often forget I...

Limited Palette - Letting Two Colours Speak.

This was an early painting, in limited palette. That meant everything i wanted to say had to be described with three tubes of paint - prussian blue, raw umber and white.  I was just amazed at how many colours you are able to approximate just playing the mix between those two...

I Get Lost In The Moment.

I love to paint so much. When I'm painting, I really get lost in the moment. I find the inspiration and I start sketching slowly, then I start painting little by little. I forget everything. I'm not aware of time anymore.

A Glimpse Into My Abstract Mind

THE FLAME TREE AND THE FIREFISHI wanted to
