I Love to Read a Good Book

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 892 People

I've always had my head stuck in a book at

such a young age my mother would always have to buy me new books every month since I was a fast reader to the point she was over buying me new books so she got me a library card so I could get as much books as I would like without spending so much money.

I'd give up tv for a really good book.

God forbid it be a saga/trilogy/series, I'd be stuck in a chair in some corner trying to force my tired eyes to read this dang good story!

Just finished "Killing Kennedy" by Bill

O'Reilly. Excellent book with details you have never heard. When you get up to the assassination, you find out the gruesome details. I highly recommend it.

    I love reading suspense/horror novels!

I can read a 500 page novel in 1-2 days. Can someone name me a really good novel to read? It doesn't have to be a suspense/horror novel. :)

I've alway's loved to read going back to my childhood. Reading take's me somewhere else. Since I really don't travel, I travel in my book's. In my book's I am a normal person not suffering from any issue's I have today. James Patterson is my #1 author. Iris Johanson is #2. I love...

    Anyone suggest a good book

for a 20 year old girl. I like love stories, more books along the lines of about people's day to day lives. Not fantasy. I enjoyed fifty shades, twilight, looking for Alaska, the fault in our stars.

    What books, written after 2000,

do you think will go down in history as one of the best of our generation that topped that inmortal status and will become a boring classic for the high school school students of the future? It's hard because of historical limitations, but what are your thoughts?

Reading books is like living another life,

it's like your one of those characters and it's amazing, you're in a different world it's much better than TV because in a book it goes in detail. You got to love books :)

    Bookworms Are Normal Guys

I love reading a book and the passion enkindled after I  lost my left eye vision to WMD in 2004. My interests are Literary Classics, Management, and more recently science.  I saw myself as abnormal while others around loved to see movies...

Books seem like my best friends.

They bring me to the world wide, and introduce me to the great story. They never blame me when I forget the tale that they tell me. I just read it again. They're silent and kind, but fun and adventurous. So now, I can't wait to read.

    Dean Koontz Good Author

Hi all I'd just like to write a little about the author Dean Koontz. he is one of my favourite writers at the moment mainly because his characters are all so human and believable. One of the best things about Dean is that his tales are intricate but always very well plotted out...

    Simon Scarrow

Lately I have been into Simon Scarrow who writes fiction about 2 legionaires back in the days of Emperor Claudius. Good stuff.

after finishing an awesome book... Even worse the entire sequel. It's like, you don't know what do with your life anymore :(

I really enjoy reading out loud,

impersonating the characters voices and emotions. This immerses me more than anything.

For the star war fans I recommend EE doc

smith's lensman series. For those who liked Buffy and Harry potter I recommend Jim butchers Dresden files. For those who love the Internet and maybe wonder what's next I suggest John brunner's shockwave rider Hope you find them enjoyable, if you can find them
