I Love to Read a Lot

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 1,732 People

Like a novel for a week.

Sometimes two. Sometimes a novel takes a month, with several novels in between. Depends on whether the storyline is dragging. It's one of the pleasures I will not give up as long as I live.

When I was younger I avoided reading.

I never wanted anyone to feel I was a nerd. Even though I was. My grades never showed that because I was trying to be one of the bad boys. Now I love reading about everything. Even the bad boys. I love getting all the books I can just in case I run out of things to read. So, I...

    I really love reading.

I've always loved reading, ever since I was a little kid. I haven't had time to read much lately though and I feel kind of bad about it. The library is my favorite place to go. Is it weird that I only like to buy books after I've read them?

I love opening a brand new book

My Parents Used To Ground Me From Books!

I've been an avid reader for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, I was always reading, even when I was supposed to be doing something else. If I was supposed to be cleaning my room, I would often pick up a book off the floor or something to put it away, and would end...
