    Ohhh Heaven

Very few things can compare to: 1) being naked 2) being sumberged in hot sweet smelling water 3) Having a book you cannot put down

    Harry Potter

When I was a kid and actually took baths, I would take whichever Harry Potter book I was reading at the time, and read it in the bathtub. I always ended up getting distracted and staying in the bath much too long, lol. Not to mention the slight water damage to my books, lol.

    Coming Home

After having to take showers behind the moldy curtain that I share with seven other girls for seven months, it's nice to come home and be able to lay in a clean bath with a book by my side. (Usually there are bubbles). My mom has the most beautiful bathroom that has a...

    White Cherry Blossom

My bubble bath of choice. The other day, I read all of Virginia Woolf's "Flush" in one bath. It is only a novella, but I was still in there two and a half hours. My toes were incredibly pruny when I finally got out. There are few things as relaxing or comforting...

The One Room Cut Off From Interruption

I used to study over my last few points before an exam whilst running a bath the night before the exam- there was something hypnotic about the running of water that helped detach the part of my brain that could be distracted otherwise from my notes. I would then relax in the...

    Keeps Me Amused

I did last night. I just get bored otherwise!! Blowing bubbles can only keep me amused for so long!! I have to find entertainment some other way, and that entertainment is reading. I got a new book the other day that I was immersed in, I managed to stay in the bath for a good...

    ...and Anywhere Else.

Not much to say, except that I've been reading in the bath most of my life.  My parents used to read to me in the bath as a child; maybe it was their way of getting me to take a bath.  But I've been hooked ever since.  On a lazy day off, it's limited only by the...

    Long Baths

I grew up in an old farm house with only one bathroom, and an old style clawfoot bathtub.  It was SO comfortable.  I love to read, and I love water.  The two were an obvious match.  It got to the point where I had to anounce, "Does anyone need to use the...
