I Love To Run Bare Foot

Just let you feet to feel the love of Earth 140 People

    Running To The Fishing Camp

When I lived in the Florida Keys I went barefoot all the time like I still do, and running barefoot was no problem either. From where I lived along US highway 1 it was 3 miles back a sand road to a fishing camp, and every evening I would run barefoot out to the camp and back...

    Free : )

I don't last very long at it but nothing feels quite like wearing just gym shorts and running a mile or so. I'm a bit of a tinder foot so I dawn my Five Finger thin sole, slipper like running shoes. It works muscles in my feet that never get used otherwise and small stones don't...

I have been jogging/running on treadmills

for years, while wearing my Asics. Over the last 3 years I've moved to running on the treadmill with one of my 4 pairs of Vibram Fivefingers. Last summer I decided to remove the Fivefingers and run outside in my neighborhood, barefoot. I will say this, since I've moved into my...

    I live in the country,

I go everywhere bare foot. It's natural, and the grass feels amazing beneath my feet and toes. People think in crazy but I feel so grounded, so much closer to Mother Earth. I love walking beaches and playing in the sand, kicking waves, and even warming them by a nice fire. I...

    I'm Not Zola Budd!

My Dad calls me a number of funny names, and when he sees me running without having shoes on he calls me Zola Budd. I researched her name and she was a South African long distance runner, or something. He does come up with some funny things sometimes!

Barefoot anytime makes you feel like you're one

with the Earth. You feel the cool dew grass squish and dot your feet with early morning droplets. It's beautiful :)

Absolute Best Thing In The World

I feel free when I go out barefoot. People might think I'm strange, but they'll think I'm strange anyway, so what's the difference? I just smile and wave. If they're not courteous back, then I still think it's rude, barefoot or not. I used to go barefoot when I was just a kid...

after i realized that the regular closed shoes aren't gonna work for me- i would get blisters that were super painful and that would set back the training. its been 3 years and several Full Marathons now - my feet are holding up just fine. actually not bad for a work in...
