I have to go into the city

once a week. There's a homeless guy I see as I walk past on my way to my meeting. He always seems to be reading old newspapers. He doesn't look very old. Maybe my age. Ever heard Robert Cray band - night patrol? I have it on cd. I listened to it when I got home that night. When...

    literally made me cry.

This group of boys befriended another boy in their class who had autism. They treated him like a friend/kid brother at lunch helping him eat etc. They even bought him a gaming system and would go to his house and game with him. The mother said it was the first time he ever...

In the Winter of 2014-15 we had a snow storm

pass through leaving about 2" of snow cover. I live in a small apt. comlplex and having returned to the US from 15yrs in Canada, I reacted like a Canadian. I cleared a path to my car and cleared my car for work. Then looking around, I cleared the mailbox area...looking around...

I am always looking for a way to help people.

I've bought groceries, gas and step up if people are short on cash at the register. So the other day I went through the toll and the guy in front of me paid my way. I was so thankful for that I drove off and then thought darn I should have paid for the person behind me. That's...

Perhaps one day when I stop being terrified of

my social awkwardness, I'll actually do nice things for strangers. But random acts of kindness that I witness make my day! I saw a little boy sit down next to a stranger and he said hi. That was really exciting for me :P And it's not just because he's cute, I've seen adults...

    Be Kind, Please Rewind

Ok, just joking with that title since after all we have something amazing called DVDs. I think it would be nice to: ... see people driving with more courtesy on the road, ... smile at strangers on the street and say hello, ... keep in touch with old friends, ... call to say...

I've met a girl who said the the only thing

that kept her from committing suicide was a random stranger smiling at her . She said it made her realize that someone genuinely cared for her and that maybe the world wasn't all bad. That's always stuck with me so I always try to be kind to everyone I meet. You never know...

    A Simple Act Of Kindness - G - 240 Words

Years ago, in my early twenties, I had a graphics business in San Diego. I managed to pay my overhead and buy groceries, but otherwise barely scraped by. I always loved hiking and at the time, singing in mountain cathedrals of evergreens or swimming in crystal streams was easily...

Any moment my attention is drawn to to

something positive for someone even if they don't even notice I am sure to take. It's a pleasure to see people do this and to receive it. But I like to be the one to do it because even though I can't stand the human race I try my best to fix people.

    Today At Dunkin Donuts

I'll admit it. I have a major problem with people butting in line.  And though it shames me to admit it, when an elderly lady tottered toward the counter at Dunkin Donuts this morning (the line nearly reached the door), my first thought was something along the lines of "How do...

I was driving home, in a bit of a hurry,

and as I rounded the corner to get on the main street, leading home, I saw an 18 wheeler truck pulling out of the grocery store. I have a huge respect for truck drivers...I'm always amazed at their driving skills. Well, I knew that I would have to stop so that it could make...

I am kind and gentle to everyone I see

or meet. But it breaks my heart to see how ignorant this world has become. Little acts of Kindness, makes me smile. I saw a poor, homless family living in a tent like structure near a street. But that wasn't it, they had adopted a little puppy (looked no older a year). He was...
