I Love to See Spring Come

The Time Has Changed & So Must the Season, (yes It Is Spring).

After the long, frozen cold of winter it will be nice to see the renewal of life before the blazing heat of summer. I have a yard already saying Spring is here. My red maples are budding. The pink flowers have popped out on a tree I did not plant. The...

    A Proper April

As I write this, there is a hard rain drumming upon the earth while thunder grumbles on and off like an old man deep in sleep. My pooch has been a handful for hours now, and I must be very careful to guard against his insistence to huddle at my feet under this desk; he’s a...

Never thought I would be saying this.

.. It doesn't get much better than a beautiful day with spring here and a chance for a new romance.

Oh Gosh Yes!!  I Love ...

Oh gosh YES!!  I love springtime. Everything is so alive and beautiful.  Honestly,, I feel it is a better time for the homeless, both Human and Animal.  They can thrive better in the spring, no freezing cold weather and no 100 degree temps.  I always think how...

    Firsts For 2009:

I just saw my first robin hopping across (what will someday be) a lawn.  I heard robins at dusk last night for the first time this year. March 16th -- Robins have arrived.  March 17th --  Crocuses were sighted on a walk last night.  Also, I...

    Spring Firsts

Early April in these parts is the dingiest time of the year. The landscape is all matted down and at its absolute dullest color. More often than not, the sky is dreary and the wind blows stiff and chill. The scent in the air is that of mud, and the great lake varies from olive...

    Clean Fresh New Life

This spring is significant in a lot of ways.  It seems I've endured a lot of pain and turmoil this past fall and winter.  To me this spring represents a refreshing  and postive outlook on life.  The begining of beautiful things to come.

    I Can't Believe...

How time flies! It seems like only yesterday I was blabbing on about the snow melting and the redwings arriving.  Now, I'm getting calls from friends who want to visit for the Memorial Day weekend. Preparations are being made for the sober parade in town.  The dog...

    May Blooming

Drawn by the sublime weather, I hit the trail with the dog an hour after dinner.  Not fifty yards into the walk, I had a stare down with a raccoon.  The dog missed him entirely, and was running far ahead, but the rustle of activity to my right caused me to look up a...
