    Feeding The Homeless

Today I was a part of a suuuper long assembly line of people. The beginning of the line packed food into a big bag in which we handed it off towards the end where they tied it up and set it in the dining hall for the homeless to have tomorrow morning. It was such a lovely feeling...

Is it possible to fail an interview

for volunteering? I'm very childlike and not very worldly. I come across as timid and naive.

Volunteering at my local hospital was a great

experience! I met a lot of amazing individuals and gained much knowledge and perspective on life. I worked alongside patient transporters in those 2 months and we were hardly idle. Some experiences include transporting newborns, wise elders, and delivering bodies into the morg...

I used to feed the homeless

and I met this man who talked about his lifetime struggle with alcoholism. In his entire family , they all drank far too much. I learned that if it weren't for me spending all those hours with him , he would of killed himself.

    I Volunteer

I volunteer and have done so for over 17 years. I enjoy what I do and have used vacation time and weekends for training and CE. I have used my own funds to buy needed equipment. I want to be best I can be and have found my niche that I excel at. I have given back 1000 fold to the...

I have done so much volunteer work over the

last ten years I can't remember all of it. I get so much from helping others. Presently I volunteer with the girl guides and the brownies which I love and have so much fun with both the girls and my colleagues who are superb.

    Keeping Hope Alive

One of my biggest passions is volunteering.  I don't volunteer to receive anything in return or to profit in anyway, but since the time I was a child, my mom taught my brothers and I that you are to give back, for when you do, you get back two fold.   If there were one...

I find it so much fun!

Recently, I was just helping with packing relief goods. I'm even part of the community involvement committee in my school. It's a good experience and I just love the thought of helping people. It's refreshing :)))

    Not Stopping

I enjoy volunteering and helping out. I never really ask for anything in return, I seem to enjoy it. Also, if I enjoy it, I'm not going to stop doing it!

I volunteer at an animal shelter,

and today was such a good experience. I normally enjoy myself, but today I met somebody very interesting. Him and I sat in a chihuahua's kennel talking about life and experiences we've both had. Sadly, he felt a connection with the chihuahua but didn't have enough to pay for...

I volunteer in a charity shop

and a radio station. Both are fairly enjoyable for the time being, but long time I want paid employment. But I guess for now, they'll do. :)

Volunteering gives me a reason to live.

I see all the lives I've touched and it makes me want to live. I'm going through rough times but volunteering makes me remember that i can always make a difference. big or small.
