I Love Walking

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 9,076 People

It was my first time hiking today,

and I am in love. I've had the itch for a while and I never thought scratching would feel so good. I hiked for 3 and a half hours along the Cleland Conservation Park tracks in South Australia. My partner and I loved the entire trip and I was so happy every second of it. Planning...

Well I grew up in North Wales

and North Wales is my home so walking has always been one of the top activities for me. With some of the most beautiful scenery in the whole of Britain right on my doorstep it would be a travesty not to make use of it. Growing up I used to spend most of my weekends scaling the...

I walk everyday. I enjoy walking,

when I leave my house in the morning and close the door behind me, everything in my home is forgotten and I go on my merry way. I love to walk down the street and see the passerbyes, and wonder sometimes where everyone is heading. Are they on their way to work?, to the grocery...

    Late Night Walk

I like to go on late night walks. I usually don't come across anything interesting, but last night I was walking at about 2am and this car is driving slowly on the other side of the street then it does a u-turn and pulls up next to me. At first I thought he was looking for...

I love the feeling when you've a really long

distance and you get to just sit on your *** and let your feet rest. Last year I walked about 80km in one trek (~50mi I think) and it was just AWESOME. It did take me from about 6-7pm to 3-4pm the next day though ;p

I had a walk and found a playground park nearby.

It's a really fun morning for me but I've been barked by a dog so I rerouted.

Walking lets me get in touch with my surroundings.  Ever since I was a little girl I loved nature.  I could lay on the soft green grass and look up at the sky and just listen to the sounds of nature.  Now I am even lucky enough to take a walk my life has me so busy...
