    All the Watchmen We Trust

Picked up the graphic novel yesterday, finished reading it about an hour ago. Needless to say I enjoyed it. The characters and their philosophies are what fascinated me and led to me buying the book (sadly I grew very interested in Watchmen and ended up spoiling nearly all of the...

Watchmen is a fascinating piece of story telling.  If you haven’t read it, stop here and go and buy it.  This story takes the fun out of being a super hero.  If there truly was a “superman” he wouldn’t be stopping crime on...

    Questions About The Comedian.

Firstly, I want some clarification on his character. I think he's a disgruntled nihilist. I think he's a man desperately wanting things to matter, but facing a world of void values, tries to pretend he's "in on the game" by being one of the worst. I think that deep down, he's...

To All the Comic Book Fans

A friend of mine argued about this after we went to see X-men Origins: Wolverine.  He thought that Rorschach and Niteowl 2 could beat Batman.  I think they'd have no chance in hell.  Any opinions?

    I Did

I loved it I had heard negative reports about it, but always think that helps as then you don't go with an expectation that is let down. It did not feel it's full time, as there were twists and turns throughout Rorshach was my favourite :-)

Quis Custodiet Ipsos Custodes? [possible Spoilers]

If you're reading this, I hope you paid attention to the SPOILER WARNING in the title.  Don't worry, though, I'm not going to tell you how it ends.  If you haven't read the graphic novel (as the film has yet to be released, so I can't really comment) then you may...

How Would The Comedian Have Handled Rorschach’s Trauma?

I was just wondering, the graphic novel showed both of their “thresholds” for witnessing some kind of evil that made them “snap.” For Rorschach, it was when he was investigating that little girl, which led him to some degenerate’s house with the 2 German Shepherds only...

    Reading the Graphic Novel

I am about halfway through Chapter 5 and I can't wait for the movie. I definitely want to finish reading the GN first though. It is so different and interesting. Not like any other GN or comic I have read.

    Rorschach Quote

“Stood in firelight, sweltering. Bloodstain on chest like map of violent new continent. Felt cleansed. Felt dark planet turn under my feet and knew what cats know that makes them scream like babies in night. Looked at sky through smoke heavy with human fat and God was not...

I've never read the graphic novels the movie is based on, but it turns out that's not really a requirement for understanding.  Not the best story in the world, but the production values are impressive.  I love the soundtrack: Philip Glass, Leonard Cohen,Bob Dylan, Jimi...

    If You Haven't Read It...do.

I saw the trailer for the movie coming out next year and I had to read the comic.  I read it front to back over the next two days. It was so much better than I was expecting.  It's absolutely amazing, especially considering that it was written in 1985.  It's the...

    Too Bad

Too bad the movie sucked at the end.  Why do the movie makers always do that?

    I Dig Watchmen

When I was a kid, I remember hearing about the Watchmen. I remember hearing about how it changed the comic book medium. I remember hearing that it was waaaaay ahead of it's time. But...I was a kid at the time it came out. I was only interested in Superfriends, Thundercats, G.I...
