Yeah, I Love Wearing A Kilt - But.....

.....I'm totally English - no Scottish connections whatsoever! So far, I've only worn them within the confines of my home (I'm a Londoner). I find the feeling of wearing a filt and full highland wear (day wear and evening wear) to be a great turn-on! I do some work at home and if...

    I used to wear kilts

while in the military and then discovered leisure kilts which are much less formal or regimented in the ways they can be worn. I have since stopped wearing pants or shorts and simply jump into a kilt whenever I want to go out. It is a rare outing where I don't get at least one...

I am very passionate about wearing a kilt.

I have had a Friday off from work - my first day off in a long time. I have been working 7 days a week for the past few weeks. I thought I would treat myself. I went out tonight - in my kilt. I wearing my royal Stewart kilt and long white hose. Driven nearly 100 miles...

    I love wearing a kilt.

I am so passionate about wearing a kilt. Unfortunately I was working over the weekend so I missed burns night. I decided to go out for a post burns night drink at a pub I know well who has a Scottish landlord. He wore his kilt last week and I promised him and his wife I...

I wear my kilt as a true Scotsman.

I have loved kilts for a long time but was shy to wear. I was led to believe that it was to wear it without nothing under. When I was able to afford to buy one, I wore it locally in evenings till I got used to it. First time I tried it I felt nervous but now I confident to...

It was a leisurely warm day today

and Dear Wife and I decided to walk up to the grocery store. She in a cute sun dress and I in my favourite kilt. Most people in the neighbourhood know I wear a kilt all the time and don't even give me a second glance. However today was a bit different. A lady that I have...

Wearing one of my kilts at work today

because it's a charity dress down day. I think I look quite good, but I know that it will result in loads of teasing and asking of the 'Are You A True Scotsman?'. One of the things that I have noticed about wearing a kilt is that I feel more confident and I seem to stand taller...

I'm very new to kilt wearing

and I have to admit that I really enjoy the experience. I feel a different kind of confidence when being kilted and although have only been out in public a few times the reaction has generally been really positive (especially when I went kilted to Disneyland in Paris !). I'm...

I wore my kilt to work yesterday

for the Christmas do. It's funny how many people asked if it felt strange not wearing trousers. Personally I find a kilt very comfortable to wear and am always looking for excuses to wear it out.

    Some advice for people

who are worried about wearing the kilt. At first you may feel self conscious and wonder what people are thinking of you. Don't worry, that will soon pass if you stick with it and keep wearing it in public. Most people love it and admire you for having the guts to wear it...

Christmas lunch today with the work,

so the kilt is on and I'm ready to head out. Not had many excuses to wear it this year unfortunately, but now with Christmas/New Year imminent, there's more excuses to wear it than not.
