I Love Western Movies

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 74 People

    My Dad and Me...

My dad loved western movies too. He went to the movies when he was a young man to see the likes of Roy Rogers and The Lone Ranger. But his favorite actor was  John Wayne, The Duke himself.  I remember being glued to the tv with my dad if they put a western on tv on a...

    Catlow

CATLOW is a western which I have not seen in a long time. When it was released many years ago, I went to the theatre with an old buddy of mine to watch it. Yul Brynner, Leonard Nimoy, and Richard Crenna were the stars. It was so good to see a cast like that chewing up the rocks...

    I love the westerns Shane,

High Noon, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance and Red River. So many great westerns out there on film for you to enjoy. I became a westerns fan only about ten years ago and have now seen close to 200 movies from this genre.

    How The West Was Won

Anytime I get a chance to watch the movie HOW THE WEST WAS WON, I usually try to see it. That is if it is on t.v. or the Encore Westerns Channel. There is much to love about it. For one thing, there is such a fantastic cast. It was in Cinerama which was a process that didn't last...

    I Love Most Of Them

I am a fan of western movies. What a great genre for me. Roy Rogers, John Wayne, Clayton Moore's LONE RANGER were all favorites of mine. They were all my heroes growing up. I was shaped by the values they exhibited. Roy Rogers had a code to live by for all little cowboys. Gene...
