    Catlow

CATLOW is a western which I have not seen in a long time. When it was released many years ago, I went to the theatre with an old buddy of mine to watch it. Yul Brynner, Leonard Nimoy, and Richard Crenna were the stars. It was so good to see a cast like that chewing up the rocks...

Colorado Territory is a 1949 western directed

by the great Raoul Walsh. It is remake of the classic noir High Sierra, directed by Walsh himself. Wes McQueen (Joes McCrea) escapes from jail and rejoins his old gang for his last train robbery. There she meets Colorado Carson ( Virginia Mayo), who is also trying to escape her...

    I Love Most Of Them

I am a fan of western movies. What a great genre for me. Roy Rogers, John Wayne, Clayton Moore's LONE RANGER were all favorites of mine. They were all my heroes growing up. I was shaped by the values they exhibited. Roy Rogers had a code to live by for all little cowboys. Gene...

    How The West Was Won

Anytime I get a chance to watch the movie HOW THE WEST WAS WON, I usually try to see it. That is if it is on t.v. or the Encore Westerns Channel. There is much to love about it. For one thing, there is such a fantastic cast. It was in Cinerama which was a process that didn't last...

    Day's Of Old.

Like most of my generation I grew up with the western movie's Weekend's meant two thing's to me, cartoon's and western's. John Wayne, Henry Fonda, Robert Mitchum, Dean Martin, Walter Brennon and many more in the serious one's but you had Don Knott's and Tim Conway or Bob Hope to...

    'diana'

When I was four years old, I had a little sister. My mother asked me to chose a middle name for her and I remember thinking about a western movie I'd just seen with a heroine called 'Diana'. She must have made an impression on me because that's the name I chose for my sister. I...

    Final Duel

Everyone allways praises Clint Eastwood, But lee Van-Cleef was a top dude as well...and i think scene is masterful. Van Cleef's face says it all without ever changing his expression, Volonte' studies Van Cleef's face like he's searching for something in it. And Volonte' said...

    I'Ll Be Your Huckleberry

I grew up sitting on my grandpas lap watching old westerns. My all time favorite is Tombstone. I've remembered every line in every scene. The fact that Sam Elliot is in it just makes the movie so much better.
