    I Wonder Why They're Called That?

    I'd never heard of them until I vacationed in Maine two years ago.  Every gas station there seems to sell them, in multiple flavors.  Chocolate was widely available, but my favorite was maple.  I hear you can also find them in Pennsylvania. :-)  E. Bunbury

    Special Treat!

    Growing up in Amish country Whoopie Pies where a staple of every farmers market. I loved going on school field trips, because Mom usually packed me a whoopie Pie!  I think that may be where they get the name....you see one in your lunch and yell WHOOPIE!!! Red Velvet...
