I Think Wikipedia Is the Face...

... of the future of information. Have you seen wikibooks (http://www.wikibooks.org/) and wikiversity? (http://www.wikiversity.org/)  Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already. I think there is a real strength to opening up information to the masses while...

I like Wikipedia and use it for looking for random stuff - ie meanings for certain words or to find out information about people. It certainly comes in handy although I did notice previously that some of the article were out of date.

    The World's Greatest Online Encyclopedia

If you don't like Wikipedia, you are simply a glutton for punishment. I love it - I can find information on just about anything on Wikipedia and it's always being updated and improved. Like anything else, you may get wrong information here and there but for the most part, it's a...

    Great For Most Things

but from time to time you'll search for something and not find any realinfo on it, or find info, but in the form of opinion stated as fact. Still a great site and concept, just make sure not too use it when researching a paper or writing a speech, etc

    Most of the Time

I love searching through all the articles and finding out things I didn't know. The one thing I don't like though is that wikipedia can't give a straight answer. I wanted to know how protein is good for you, but, no, wikipedia didn't mention that, just went on about amino acids...

    You Can Find Anything !

I often wondered how it'd be if wikipedia didn't exist. My school homework'd last much longer to do. You can find almost everything there- and I love that it's open and everybody can participate. Even when it can be abused. Just- thank you Wikipedia for everything !

    Love It!

When I got Internet Explorer 8, they let me put wikipedia as an option for my search bar, so no matter where I am, I can just type in my search box and directly search Wikipedia...it's a beautiful thing.

I Can Read Stuff For Hours.

I can read stuff on Wikipedia for hours. Often I'll search one thing, and I'll find so many other things through the words that go to another link. And then I'll have ten different tabs open and will try to check them out. Of course, I also check out the links on the tabs I...

I love to follow links on Wikipedia.  If I am reading a topic and I see a subject that I know little about    CLICK    and then I continue to educate myself.  People claim that wikipedia isn't the best source of info, but it works for me...

    The Chain Reaction

Wiki is heaven for people who are too easily fascinated, like me, haha.  I can start off reading about some government's history for a project, then find myself still at the site hours later, happily feasting off the most random stuff ever, like how Nicole Kidman was...

    Wikipedia, I Would Marry You.

If it was a person that is. I use Wikipedia for practically everything but what I like the most is when you're researching a person. I like it when you're doing that because it shows a picture, and some information about them along with their article. I have a Wikipedia app on...

The other day, my husband was talking about turbinado, the raw sugar that lots of people put in coffee. I said it sounded like a fish. He refused to believe that any fish had a name similar to that, but I looked it up on Wikipedia, and there it was, shining like a beacon in the...

I find it a useful tool. While it may not be everything, it certainly helps if you're researching a topic. I have even made my own updates where I can verify it from other valid sources or through local knowledge.

    Why I Love Wikipedia

I just love how anything you want, almost anything you want to know, is just a click of a button away... If it weren't for Wikipedia, then it would be a lot harder trying to find information - I know anyone can edit it; but that makes it better so there's always someone who knows...
