    Saw The Movie First

At first, I wanted to change the channel, but i love old movies. I was in love with it from the start. It is one of those movies that pull at my heart. I had  to go out and get the book. Got it the next day.

The first time I read it,

I was disgusted. I hated the way love was portrayed. But I was a silly teenager then. I didn't know anything about people's characters and love. Three years later I picked up the book and I saw reality being portrayed in the form of art. I think we are all capable of being...

I love the book! It is so amazing! It's deep, dark, and Byronic...kinda. I prefer, like most, Heathcliff and Catherine than Hareton and Cathy but that's pretty good to. It's to amazing for me tor properly describe, as you can tell I'm a fanatic...

Funny thing is, I never think of myself as a romantic but guess underneath, I must be ….. I love the story of Wuthering Heights and maybe it’s because I have always been drawn to anti-heroes both in fiction and real life! Heathcliff is that to me – an anti-hero. Someone I...

    Kate Bush

I love the book, the older version of the film and the original shrieking song by Kate Bush. It was remixed later.

I Am Obsessed With Wuthering Heights

I am obsessed with this book. The first time I read it, I was amazed with how GOOD it was. Heathcliff, though 'evil', is my favorite character. He is so....dark. He has this mysterious side that always gets to me...how did he change in just three years so very much? And...

This Is My Favourite Quote From The Film I Love Wuthering Heights

"And I pray one prayer--I repeat it till my tongue stiffens--Catherine Earnshaw, may you not rest as long as I am living; you said I killed you--haunt me, then! The murdered DO haunt their murderers, I believe. I know that ghosts HAVE wandered on earth. Be with me always--take...

    A Classic

Many people, generally those who have never read the book, consider Wuthering Heights to be a straightforward, if intense, love story — Romeo and Juliet on the Yorkshire Moors. But this is a mistake. Really the story is one of revenge. It follows the life of Heathcliff, a...

To me Wuthering Heights is a masterpiece not only due to the intensity and passion of the plot, the character of Heathcliff but due to the extent to which each page contains such poetical language and imagery.  How the wildness of the moors and the dramatic weather acts as a...

    Wisdom of Quotes...

There is a power in the language that equals no others.  Yes, it is dark, yet there is this passion within the imagery.  Yet there always has been such wisdom also, I have always loved these quotes: "A person who has not done one half his day's work by ten o'clock...
