Tired of being the responsible one

for sure. It's always so complex, isn't it? For example with myself, I know how to become unstuck from being the one with l the weight on my shoulders but I also feel like if I don't do take on that responsibility then who will? I am firm believer in hard work. I think it's...

People like to say love is unconditional,

but it's not, and even if it was unconditional, it's still never free. There's always an expectation attached. They always want something in return. Like they want you to be happy or whatever and that makes you automatically responsible for their happiness because they won't be...

I'm tired of being the responsible one,

the sensible one. I don't want to be the careful one, the cautious one, the reliable one. I want to jump into new experiences, follow my dreams, live a life full of wonderful adventures.....when will I get to be carefree and live those dreams?

Wish I Was The One Being Cared For...

I have always been described as responsible and dependable. Through age, I have come to resent this as people often take advantage of those traits. Lately, I do feel the responsibility is becoming too much. My younger sister is depressed and I am her only support in the family. I...

    The "Old Soul"

I've been told my whole life that i was an "old soul". To this day I don't really understand what exactly that means or if its a compliment. From what i understand it means that your reliable and responsible, you can be counted on to take care of those who can't take...

I sometimes wonder when it will be my turn.

...to have someone take care of me. A moment of anger and resentment born out of weariness. Then I take myself off into my own mind and imagine what that would be like. Could I even accept it freely? Without guilt? Without feeling like I'm not contributing? Would I even...

Sigh. I'm a smoker of cigarettes.

It's a horrible habit. I'm well aware. I grew up in a home of smokers. And have been smoking myself for twenty years. I keep making plans to quit. But I have yet to follow through. It kills my budget. Not to mention the effect it has on me. Anyway, I live in a smoke free...

Out of my trio of friends,

I am the responsible one; the one who organises days out, get-togethers, parties etc. you name it, I've had to plan it. Don't get me wrong, they're both fun and awesome people, just I wish I could sit back and relax once in a while.
