    I Love Linux!

I was an above-average (are there really any 'expert' Windows users?) Windows user, getting sick of having to reinstall software and reset settings that were blown away every time I had to reinstall the OS.  I'm a power user, too; after a while, I just went without the...

    Gnu/Linux and Me

Linux ? I have heard Richard Stallman keep telling people not to use "linux" and use instead "gnu/linux". Well anyone who knows what it is all about will understand :)  But that is not what I am here to talk about. About seven years ago, I saw a friend...

One Gets Easily Used to Good Things...

L ong time ago, back in 1988, when the network was only for a minority, and Internet like we know now didn't exist yet, a young research-granted boy started his PhD in a small lab in a medium city (Valencia) of a technologically underdeveloped country (Spain). He had...

    I Am 100% Microsoft Free

In business, I never use Microsoft products for anything and personally I use Windows for only a few things. Otherwise it is Linux all the way. My distros of choice are Linspire and freespire because they are so easy to use.

Atlanta Linux Fest 2009, Part One

9:20 Am - I arrived 10 minutes ago after driving around the northern perimeter of I-285 in a horrendous rain.  It'd finally ceased when I pulled into the IBM Campus parking lot, passing cars with lots of geeky bumper stickers and personalized tags, like HACKR3...

Atlanta Linux Fest 2009, Part Two

Atlanta Linux Fest Report, -contd. from Part One , preparing for the start in the main conference room.   There were many with the tell-tale ivory skin that only comes from hours of irradiation by green-on-black terminals or 10 year old 17” CRTs that they'd saved up...

Really, I Haven't Booted Into Window$ In Months!

Yea, I just don't understand why this hasn't gone mainstream yet. Actually I heard that it's because CEO's can't sue the program makers because no one legally owns them!

And I Only Use Windows At Work.

I used to have a windows partition for games (which still got too full of viruses to be useable), but when I got a new hard drive last month I only installed Ubuntu. There's really nothing that would would make rebooting to windows worth the effort anymore. I can even play games...
