I Mastered Lucid Dreaming

    What I've Learned

So I've been a lucid dreamer for a little over a decade now, since I was a young child, and it has taught me so much. First of all I know that when we dream we sort of retreat into our inner world, or mind so to speak. I know this because dreams operate based on your beliefs. For...

It all started in my early teens

when I was having nightmares all the time, until one night, I was about to wake up from one of them (usually from my own screaming or crying), when I decided I had enough of it. I managed to take control, and dreaming has never been the same since :) it's so addictive, though...

    Cannot Stop

I started lucid dreaming soon after I had a psychotic episode. At first it was awesome. I would fall asleep, start dreaming, realise I was dreaming and then do whatever the hell I wanted. I started off with the usual: flying. However soon I started experimenting with all sorts of...

For the most part I am able to control the

whereabouts and content of a dream. However if I am really tired I lose control over it and I start having a random dream and it just becomes like Im watching myself do things in a random situation.

I shapeshift quite frequently in dreams.

When you are a shapeshifter, maintaining one form and being unable to change it is a very frustrating feeling. It's stagnating. That's how I feel when I'm awake.

So I think I have. I am fully aware I am

dreaming. Before I go to bed I think of what I want to dream, I cannot fall asleep until I have chosen something. Then, from beginning to end I control the whole dream. Control everything every character does, if I don't like something I'll restart my dream, or re-do the scene...

I have only mastered lucid dreaming when the dreams are bad. And then only when the danger is physical, not emotional. When I have a dream about being chased by an axe murderer or whatnot, I can change the dream or even end it if I want. When the dream is more emotional, for...

    Don't Think of An Elephant

When I was in therapy for the inability to sleep my therapist suggested I try this.  When you are falling asleep you have to try to be aware of the fact that you are falling asleep, without coming out of it. It is like meditation in a way. You are reaching a point...

    Hardly Mastered!

Shut Out Of My Lucid Dreams

I have had a number of lucid dreams.  I remember floating in a vast darkiness and being attracted to a distant light.  When I reached the light it was like a fog, surrounding me.  I began to rise slowly within this light, gradually picking up speed.  As I got higher, I felt...
