When I look at my daughter

and she enjoys the smallest things, it makes me miss being a kid. Being innocent and forgetting whatever pain in seconds. I honestly miss being a kid.

sometimes I watch my kids playing

and something they do will transport me back in time because I can remember doing that same thing, I get a little pang that that part of me is finished then but its lovely to be part of my kids lives and watch them having those experiences for the first time

I'm still a kid. But I miss being younger,

not having to worry thinking about how many years I have left before in an adult. When I was like 10 I didn't even worry about it, because I had forever. Now I don't,

Couple weeks ago a kid told me I had the "voice

of a father", suddenly I realized that the hardships I endured and the wisdom which I've gathered from them changed me. I'm not longer the wreckless kid I was, acting out my anger and pain, I had grown into someone much more complex, someone who misses his past yet embraces it.

    I had a great childhood.

I remember crawling in bed and feeling completely safe. Sure, I worried about things, but never about the most important things like food, shelter, and safety. That's a freedom only children receive. I wish I could go back to that place in my life sometimes.

When I was younger, I'd put my arms in my shirt

and tell people I lost my arms. I'd restart the video game when I knew I would lose. I would sleep with all the stuffed animals so none of them would get offended. I had that one pen with 6 colors and I tried to push all the buttons down at once. I poured my soda in the...

Things were so much simpler back then.

When my friends would show up unannounced we would run outside without exchanging pleasantries. We just went. Now when friends decide to surprise me with a visit I have to explain why I was vacuuming in just a man’s t-shirt and socks.

    The innocence and carelessness.

. The spirit of eternal childhood... I miss being that kid who did not give a damn about complexities in life... Who only cared about grades, tv shows, friends and books... Unlike now when you have people at work who depend on you....
