I My Dog Died Forum & Chat Board | Bellarosie

My 4 year old Golden Retriever died yesterday morning of sudden cardiac failure.  She was my best friend and a cherished member of our family.  I've been dealing with many chronic health problems and for the past year she was right by my side all the time. After surgery this past February she laid next to me in bed for four weeks only getting up to go outside to use potty and to eat. I am devastated that she is gone I thought for sure we would have her for at least 10 more years.  She had the most soulful eyes and loving spirit.  She was the best dog I could ever ask for.  I don't think I can get over this; the pain of losing her is too intense. Is there anyone out there that can offer words of comfort to me.  I could  not go in to work today because all I do is cry for her.
