I Never Buy a Newspaper

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 95 People

    I Never Read the News...

Or even watch it. People fill me in about the sad happenings on Earth and that's just how I like it! If I read anything in a paper, it's the Music Section for interviews with bands. That's it.

    Eyesigh Too Bad

I don't buy newspapers anymore as they are too hard for me to see. My eyes have got really bad and are getting worse and worse. I have low vision and really struggle with lots of everyday, close up activities.

    I Don't Want To Know

I have my hands, head and heart full trying to do what I can to help the people I can reach, let alone worrying about the stuff I can't do anything about.

    Sorry For My Newspaper Boy

I love reading the newspaper. I used to cut out interesting articles from different categories and make a scrapbook out of them. But now since I can have what I need to read everything on the inet and can place them to a special place for faves, I stopped subscribing...

    Budget Blahs

While I kind of like reading the paper, right now my budget is too snug to afford them.  And really, I can get all the same info online...without needing to kill a tree.

    Newspapers Are Too Expensive/unreliable

I used to read the Rocky Mountain News...but when it got canned, all that was left was the Denver Post (I never liked it). Newspapers are way too expensive nowadays. I'll watch the news on TV instead.

    News? On Paper?

No thank you, I like the internet and the printed media can be stupid and wasteful. I read what I like, when I like.

    British Press

The Press in the UK are just awful. I got so tired of reading the papers to see a biased view or the exploitation of victims and the creating of a sensationalist culture that I just can't be bothered anymore.  I'd rather see the world for myself to see what's happening...

Since I Can Get The News Online

With the advent of google search and internet news, why would anyone still buy a newspaper? Not only do you not have to re-cycle all that paper, you prevent trees from being cut down. I'm of an older generation, but I can definitely see the advantage in this technology !

    Nope, There Are Other Ways

Nope. Apart from the free ones that are shoved through our letterbox, I don't. I've found that listening to the radio news gives me a general gist of whats going on. I also watch BBC's 6 o'clock news and BBC East Midlands Today. EMT is great for those cute little...

    Pee Sponge?

I don't really pay too much attention to the news anyway (I know I should -_-;;) and if a story (I hear on the radio or see on TV) catches my eye then I'll probably look it up on the Internet rather than buy a newspaper. I can say I've never bought a newspaper but that doesn...

My parents do sometimes. But I don't think I've ever bought a newspaper. I just don't feel it's useful to me. I'm not that into news papers.
