I Never Want to Be a Size Zero

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 556 People

    I used to, really badly.

I never felt comfortable in my own skin. I envied thin people, and hated myself for not eating less and exercising more. Two of my favorite things are running and eating chocolate, so I've learned to be okay with what I am now. I wouldn't mind having a flat stomach though :b

    Balance

Why on earth would any woman want to be this thin? The American size zero is the equivalent to the UK size 4 apparently - good grief!Being healthy and not carrying too much extra weight is a great goal ... but being this thin is just ridiculous.  It wouldn't be something I...

    Just Not Possible!

I won't ever be a 0, and I don't want to be a 0. I don't think it's even possible to be a 0. Although....if I was, or even if I was closer to it, I would have become a professional dancer as I had dreamed I wanted to be. But can't change what is, and I've come to grips with...

I strived for this at one point in my life.

. I can say it's one of the worst decisions I've ever made. I built more insecurities. I felt more dissatisfied, although my self esteem slightly increased. I learned my lessons.. Don't build expectations that makes the society happy. Strive for what makes YOU happy.

I'm not a size zero. But I know people

who are and was. That size is not a bad size to be ashamed off. If you can't get fat or more weight don't be upset. Being a size zero is awesome. If I was a size zero and guys told me I wasn't beautiful I hit them with my heel and keep it pushing.

    Never

Some women look okay as a size 0 but I will never be one of them. I developed boobs and hips early and they just increased in size as I got older and had children. I love my curves too much to give them up just to say that i am a size 0. And really why would anyone want to be a...

Being healthy while enjoying life regardless of

size is the best idea to me. There are all kinds of bodies out there and everyone enjoys something different. Although the idea of being a "size 0" makes me laugh because if the clothing industry had actually thought it through; they would have realized the only way you can...

I will never be that girl with the small waist,

I will always be curvy, I will always have trouble finding pants that fit my big hips and skinny legs, but that makes me me, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

    There is nothing shameful

or wrong with being a healthy, natural size zero. On the flip side, people should not feel ashamed if they are not a size zero and should not feel pressured to be.

    Fortunately I Never Will Be

Because of my height and build (bone structure) I will probably never fit in to anything smaller than a 4 or 6. Which is great, I work at Macy's and I see the small 0's clothes all the time, it is just too small. I am not a big person, 5'3" and moderately over weight, but to...

I have been before and at the time,

I thought I looked really great. And now I look back at old pictures and I was soooo skinny. I was healthy and fit at the time but way too small even for being 5'2". I think I look better now and can't imagine being that small again.

I'm not a size 0 nor will I ever be

and I'm ok with that the thing that bugs me is that people who are a size 0 think they are so much better because they are skinny. I have a friend who is 13 and wears a children's size 10 she forces herself to throw up then blames it on lactose. She is way to skinny I can wrap...

. I have come to terms with the fact that I am a woman. I have had a two children and was chubby growing up. My body will never look like the airbrushed ones in magazines or that of a slender teenager, so why kill or deprive myself to try to be what I can't? Once I lost...

    I'm A Size 0 And I Don't Look Too Skinny At All.

I hate when people say that size 0 is unhealthy and whatever. Everyone's body is different, and it may not be healthy for some people to be a size 0, but for some people it's they're natural size and can look healthy. Obviously if you're like 5'9 or really tall it's probably not...
