I Play the Guitar

    I Don't Do Requests

Been playing since I was 12 years old and I'll always think of myself as 'still learning'. Comparing your guitar ability to that of others is like being a gunslinger in a cheesy western movie - there's always a faster gun. At some point you need to stop being concerned about...

I had my big brother teaching me

I've been playing the guitar for 30 years or more.  For the first 20 years it was as if I didn't really want to hear the guitar itself.  I played through battered amps with cheap electric guitars using overdrive, wah-wah, distortion, jet phaser, flanger, verbs...

I started to play in 1970 after hearing Led Zeppelin III on the then burgeoning f.m. rock radio. I started out with a very cheap acoustic guitar and an instructional rhythm guitar booklet put out by a local music store I saw on a cable call board channel for $5.00. I had one...
