    When you're a violinist,

you have a tendency to look at your violin in disbelief. You just can't believe how beautiful it is and how perfect the sound is and then that's usually followed by awkward looks from people who just don't know that feeling. Not very many people understand this passion.

    Music To Competitive Nature.

I started playing the violin when I was ten years old. It passed the time by and I always set a goal in mind to become better each day. Practice, practice, practice. I come from a very musical community, very artsy too, so you always wanted to be in performances because it was...

i've been playing since i was eight — about

nine years — and i love it. my mother gave me my dad's old violin, which was a little big for me when i was eight. i took to it really well, probably because of my near incessant want to please her, even then. i always saw it as a way to be close to my dad, not to mention i...

When I was seven, I picked up a violin.

The generosity of my grandparents kept me in lessons, youth contests, and elite circles of musical genius. I was gunning for a major in performance at Concordia. Then I just stopped. My favorite memory in life (in...life) was playing Sibelius in with a full symphony and having...

I have been playing as of now,

about 3-4 years. I have developed some very advanced skills. Most people say playing the violin is hard, but the truths it isn't. Although, that could be because I played clarinet before violin, but the clarinet I had would start squeaking on any note higher than a middle B, so...

    The Calm After The Storm

I wrote a story earlier about letting go. It was part of a deeper realization and acceptance of what I needed to do. The fact that I had to write it down, type if you prefer to call it, was just achingly difficult. I could hardly see the screen because of the tears. It was and...
