    They're usually kinder

and chattier, they don't do something to make you dread your next appointment with them, they make you feel comfortable. I have had a few nice man doctors too but they're a bit too serious and some talk too much like they're giving you a lecture. I remember I had an awful eye...

My Rheumatologist is very knowledgable in this

field and she is one the nicest doctors that I have met in my life. I wouldn't have anyone else taking care of my lupus, but her.

    It makes it less awkward

when they give me a physical and I have to take off my pants and get a chub when feel me. Sometimes they even say thanks or you might wanna take care of that in a bit

I just feel more comfortable talking about

that sort of thing with another woman. Sometimes, it can be very personal and it makes me feel weird to say those things to a man.

    Women Doctors Care More

Women doctors listen more than male doctors do. I feel like most male doctors I ever saw already had their minds made up about my problems before I even told them all the details. Women doctors also don't seem to be afraid to examine patients and most male docs I've seen act...

I Feel More Comfortable With a Woman Doctor

most men i know, including my husband, of course prefer women doctors. 2 of my sisters prefer men obgyn's instead of women....i cant understand why; i guess its just personal preference. although, both of my sisters that i am referring to are slightly homophobic in my opinion...

    More Empathetic

Women doctors seem to be more empathetic than men, but there are no hard fast rules..... I enjoy women doctors because they listen to complaints with more sincerity. Male doctors seem to have an attitude like, well, 'suck it up.'

I've been seeing my doctor for a few years now - and that she's female, young and pretty really means much less to me now than the fact that she's a great caring doctor who went to top schools.  But my first visit was definitely memorable.  I was with my then girlfriend (who i...

    One Man's View

Somewhat unfortunately, I have reached the age at which the medical profession recommends a periodic prostate exam. If I must have a relative stranger put a finger up my anus and feel my prostate, I'd prefer that it be a lady.
