    That's Who I Am

Let me begin with two things. First, being a gentleman is not how a person acts, being a gentleman is who a person is. So that's why I titled this story the way I did. Secondly, I am from the South. I am a southerner, redneck, etc., whatever y'all want to call us but I...

he always try's his best to act grown up, and not make really stupid jokes. He actually cares, and will listen to you, try to help. Or if you're alone and he sees you he'll come, he holds the door open for me even if I'm the last person, he'll walk me home, he walks to class...

I have come to the conclusion

that a good number of the ladies here are actually men posing as women. From the experiences and messages I can draw no other conclusion. Just an observation.

My wonderful boyfriend tries to open doors

for me a lot of the time and is so accommodating and wonderful like that. Especially for me. He pulled out my chair for me last time we ate at a restaurant, as well. These things are not necessary but, are always quite nice. Make sure you find someone that will do them on his...

    Shame On You

It is most unfortunate but some men think that because they are on the internet, that it gives them the right to be rude to women. Case in point, an EP member had been pestering me for friendship.  He kept sending me messages to my whiteboard and I asked him why he wanted...

    Old Fashioned Ideals.

I am no Prima Donna, that's for sure.I guess I just grew up in a house hold where my dad always treated my mother with respect and courtesy. He always opened the car door for her, often bought her flowers, and was always tender and loving towards her.I feel that a lot of that kind...

    It Is A Must

I love gentlemen. A man who has manners, speaks well, dresses well and knows how to treat a woman is a true gem. What is a real turn off is a man who has no manners. A man who shows up disheveled and sloppy. A man who has poor grammar and no brains. Contrary to what some of you...

I sort of have this dilemma

and dichotomy problem. I like guys who are dominant and aggressive, but gosh I hate being told what to do. I mean sometimes I'm fine with it, like during sex that's fine and preferred, but outside of that gosh nothing makes me as mad. If it's in the heat of the moment, that's...

"Me Too, I Just Love This Quality In A Man! They Are A Dying Breed."

When I saw this EP Experience Group, I just had to join it. I was just talking about this with my Aunt. She said something about it that rung true, "They are the last of a dying breed." Its not often that I see that "Gentleman" quality in men these days. It is a quality that is...

    But That Doesn't Mean Weak

I like gentleman like behavior, especially in how it relates to traditional interaction between men and women. I like when a man holds a door open for me, asks if I need assistance if I appear puzzled, overwhelmed or struggling with a physical task. I like when a man doesn't use...

I don't want to sound too whiny and maudlin, but I regret the apparent disappearance of this type of behavior. It is becoming increasingly rare to find men who actually know how to treat a woman with respect. I blame the parents :P If a man has good manners, he dresses well, he...

I try to embody gentleman-like behavior.

I will admit that some of the physical practices, such as opening the woman's door for her, are probably rusty due to the 9 years since my divorce and lack of women of the appropriate age where I live. In addition, I do not move very fast due to my disability. If a woman...
