    What Have We Done?

Besides seeing a robin, for me the heralding of spring is in the sounds of the peepers. Just knowing thousands of tiny frogs are courting a mate makes my heart warm. I wish that we appreciated the beautiful world that was given us instead of raping and pillaging until it is all...

    Listen Children

I used to work for an outdoor education school teaching 11-12 year olds. Whenever I had the chance free from teaching I would ask my groups to find a nice comfy spot and just listen. We would sit sometimes for up to a full minute just sitting and listening. We were nestled in...

    The Woods

I have always been a person who has loved being outdoors. I was born and raised in the city, and had very few chances to get away from the noises and the danger of city life. But there were a few wooded places I could wander through, and did. I loved the redwoods of northern...

I Like To Hear My Thoughts

so pretty. I can't explain it but even when there are sounds it's still silence in nature. It's so calming and peaceful; flowing waters, crickets, owls...it's all better than dogs and sirens.
