    I'm so used to wearing a "mask"

    that I've lost sight of my true self. Living a lie is as automatic as breathing. It's not something I'm proud of, but I can pretty much lie with a straight face now. The sad thing is that even if I don't, there's really no one who would care even if I told them how I truly feel...

    Yes, considering that I'm mildly autistic

    and I'm expected to repress those traits/symptoms in order to appear more normal.

    People are gullible. All I have to do is wear

    the mask and they believe that I'm okay, normal. I put it on and they smile and applaud my performance of a normal life. There are moments where I could easily rip off the mask, but once I do there's no putting it back on. The thing is the mask makes everyone happy, it keeps me...
