I Quit Smoking

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 3,842 People

    I started vaping in February,

at 18 mg., slid to 24mg in March, when I was super stressed, but have cut down on nicotine every week. I had the last of my 3 mg yesterday and I'm noticing I'm even vaping less as I go...wow...so worth it!!!

    On My 3rd Day

I quit smoking on Sunday- it is now Tuesday. I drove to work this morning with an unlit cigarette in my mouth and the window cracked. My favorite morning activity is the 30 minute drive to work- me and my cigarette... the cool air, the radio, not a care in the world. I felt lost...

I Hope It'S Not Too Late.

It's disgusting. I started smoking when I was about the same size as a cigarette. I was eight years old, and the kid down the road convinced me to smoke a cigarette that he had stolen from his dad. I didn't have a coughing fit or get sick, instead I felt all tingly and buzzed. I...

    I'm A Quitter.

It's been over 6 months and I'm feeling very strong about it. I've smoked since I was about 16. I'm 26. I've quit a few times, actually. Once for over two years. I guess you could say I was an on and off smoker, sometimes smoking heavily for months, sometimes only two or three a...

    Day 1

Today is my first smoke free day in years. I decided that it is time to quit. The morning did not start off the greatest, because I awoke to the smell of cigarette smoke, which didn't help. My husband lit up in our bedroom right next to me. I reminded him that I was quiting and...

I quit tobacco about 18 months ago.

I do not intend to quit cannabis. I'm not sure the three of us in this household could have quit smoking together without cannabis. It certainly wasn't an easy thing to do, but knowing your roommates are going through the same tobacco withdrawals definitely helps.
