    Island Changed My Life

I have based my life around the principals outlined in Aldous Huxley's Island (which is like the utopian sequel to A Brave New World).  The full text is available on-line.  Karuna!

The perfect dictatorship would have the

appearance of a democracy, but would basically be a prison without walls in which the prisoners would not even dream of escaping. It would essentially be a system of slavery where, through consumption and entertainment, the slaves would love their servitudes. - Aldous Huxley

    Brave New World.

Brave New World is the only book I've read by Huxley. But I believe he is a genius. He and George Orwell... my god, they knew what they were talking about. "Maybe this world is another planet's hell." One of the best quotes by Huxley. Hell, one of the best quotes...

    The Perennial Philosophy

I'd highly very highly recommend this book to folks seriously interested in consciousness, religion, love, meditation. I think tis the greatest of Mr Huxleys work that I know, and the most important.

    Brave New World.

Brave New World, Doors of Perception, brillant futuristic stuff from a writer who was no stranger to mind altering substances and stated "drugs will the religion of the 21st century".

The Same One Everyone Else Read.

Brave New World.   I don't know what grade it was anymore. Somewhere in high school.  We had to read a book.  Our choices were Brave New World, Animal Farm, and a couple others.  One of the others is the better book of the bunch.  I wish I remembered what it was... Something...
