    Trapped By Chomsky

Trying to read as little by him as possible, as his style is terribly annoying! I mean his linguistic stuff.

First Readings of Noam... Apoclypse Now For Me.

I own more books by Chomsky than any other author (about 12) and yet I stopped looking at them about 4 years ago. About 2 year after "falling in love" with the guy. I grew up with a very skeptical eye toward mainstream American culture. Our family was deeply aware of...

The Most Amazing Mind At Work, 24-7

I read Chomksy. I have over 20 books by him and I've read them all. I have listed to hundreds of hours of Chomsky lecturing, being interviewed, presenting, etc. Much of his writing is available online, free. IMHO, there is really nobody else who does what he does. In short, he...

was when I heard about Noam.  He was in the documentary 'The Corporation' and I decided to check some of his stuff out at my library. Haven't looked back since His commentary is so clear and refreshing to read. I don't know of an intellectual who can even begin to compare...

    Morally Corrupt Government

I'm currently reading Manufacturing Consent.  It's a great read, my first Chomsky book.  It was recommended to me years ago but I just now got around to reading it.  I've been cynical about politics and media in the US for a long time.  I've also thought that...

    The Forgotten Prophet

Like a prophet, Chomsky is unheard in his own land. You never see Chomsky on the talk shows even though he has more to say than the crowd you usually see. He can actually put his points into a historical perspective and he doesn't speak in sound bites.

    Hegemony Or Survival...

That was the book that sealed it for me. Fan for life right here! Manufacturing Consent is the work that gets the fanfare, and that is fine. But, his observations and critiques in Hegemony are fascinating. I recommend his work, like his views or not. Hegemony or Survival is a...

    Depressing Yet Inspirational

Having read the majority of Noam Chomsky's works, I have to say that he is one of the most intellectually vigorous authors & political commentators around.  [Certainly in the United States.]I feel that it is probably only because he is not more widely read amongst the...

    Always Inspiring

Is there anyone else who does what he does? Amazing guy, he could do almost anything with his insight and intelligence, but he chooses to oppose the media elite and the media and anyone else he can catch red-handed (that's how you can tell he has no sneaky agenda). One of the...
