I read a lot of Archie Comics before,

but now I read stand-alone graphic novels and follow some arcs involving Batman and the X-Men. The last ones I read were the ones in the first run of the Astonishing X-Men, the one written by Joss Whedon. It was awesome!

    Wow.

After finishing Batman Arkham City and being the complete geek and fanboy of the Joker I am, I though, hang on. You love the character, but you've never read a comic book, never mind one with him in it? So I got three comics; Batman: Year One, The Dark Knight Returns and The...

    Digital Comic Books

I used to buy / read / collect comic books. It got to bean expensive habit and slowly got away from all that. I had (yes, I said had due to me selling) several boxes of comics. They were just getting in my way and I needed the space back in my garage for my new car. I do still...

So as a kid I grew up in the styx.  Backwater country and one of my great pleasures was to go to the local Bailey's Drug store for a ice-cream float and the latest Star Wars, Batman, and horror comics.  But I certainly wasn't a fan.  Even...

I am a silver age comic book reader. I really do not have much of a story to share about that. Only high points are I need issues 1,2 of daredevil to finish my run and the first 17 issues of fantastic four and then I will have all those. My latest trend is the buying of house of...

    Take Me Away!

I don't read them like I used to, but I've found a few short series I've liked. I just couldn't get into most Mavel titles and none of the DC.  I'm a hyper-picky customer. I admit it.

    Digital Comics

Some of the best free digital comics can be found at http://flashbackuniverse.blogspot.com/ The comics there are reminiscent of Marvel's Bronze Age. I'm a big fan of 70's and 80's era comics, and the Flashback titles do a good job of imitating the stories and artwork of that...

I'll admit it.  I'm 30 years old, and I still read comic books.  Why not?  Some of the artwork in comics is fantastic, and a lot of the storylines in the comic books are more cutting-edge than they used to be.What makes my story unique is the fact that I don't really read the...

I've been reading comics for about 24 years. I, too, had to quit because of finances. I miss them sometimes, but not as much as I thought I would. I love DC and some Marvel titles. I still go to the Superman Celebration every year.
