    A Reflection Of Ourselves

For as long as i can remember I have always been fascinated by anything and everything Sci-Fi. To be able to travel to distant worlds, explore never before seen sites, to come face-to-face with ideas that we would shy away from if encountered here on earth. Sci-fi allows us as...

Searching For the Essence of Sci-fi

Good novels - science fiction or otherwise - are diamonds in the rough, if you ask this picky reader.  I really dig on Niven's Ringworld (and the whole of "Known Space," really).  Books like "Flowers for Algernon" or "I, Robot" will always...

I'm a really big fan of Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Dune, Ender's Game, Starship Troopers, 1984, Blade Runner, 2001: A Soace Odyssey, and several other things I'll remember later on and will mentally kick myself for neglecting to put into...

    How Could Anyone Watch Lexx

OMG that's got to be the worst sci fi series I have ever seen. And I've watched some pretty bad ones and have been ashamed to admit that I liked them. I thought 'ok well maybe it's sexy' but it's so bad I couldn't stand it. How could Syfy have put that crap on after Farscape...

    Really Enjoying It Lately

The first I ever read was Stranger in a Strange Land, by Heinlein.  That was in middle school.  Later, I think it was in the eighth grade, I was introduced to Philip K. **** via A Scanner Darkly.  There are a few more favourites I'll add to this list, as I recall...

    The Love Of My Life

I love sci-fi. To read, write, and to imaging. What sci-fi can discuss goes beyond the boundaries of other genres because it is separating discourse on touchy topics about our world from the emotional connections in our world. Of course, some just stupid sci-fi is fun too...

I Too Really Love Good Sci-fi.

My favorite is Dark City. You don't hear much about it, but it is GREAT!! Star Trek and Star Wars are nice, but there are a lot of Sci-Fi movies out there that are much better. Thanks for this moment to say something.

    Best Sci-fi Books

I know that a lot of the posts on here focus a lot on movies and TV shows, and don't get me wrong, I love all of that too. But, to me the pinnacle of the genre is the novel. I especially love books that shift your perspective and draw you into a new and wonderful world...
