    From a Flatlander

Being a flatlander I just can't get over seeing mountains, big ones, small one, and even a little hill is good now and then.  Looking up at a snow covered mountain, give me a sense of amazement.  Thinking of the power that was needed to create them and also knowing in a...

I love the views that you get

when you're up in the mountains. I also like that it's basically free to just walk or hike on up and just be at peace and get a real whiff of fresh air.

I went up the mountains last week.

I went to a new place, for me. At the top is a cairn. It was built like thousands of years ago and is like a conical mound made of rocks. But the rocks were placed so carefully they don't move when you climb on them. At the top you get a surprise cos there's a round hollow you...

I go on road trips every year,

and my favourite place to go, is the mountains. I just love cruising through the heart of the Canadian Rockies. The roads are fun to drive on, the traffic is usually pretty light, (if I go at the right time that is). And the scenery that surrounds them is the icing on the cake...
