    Live On Tv

I remember I was getting ready for school when I turned on the news and I saw the second plane crash live! It was horrible because there are things that they don't show on tv now bc they were so horrible, but I saw it all live! And I will never be able to get that image out of my...

    I Slept Through It

That's right. I was asleep when the attacks took place. I am a night shift worker so I sleep during the mornings and got up at 1 pm. When I did, I merely got dressed, got into my car and drove off to stop by at my father's place before going to work. I did not turn on my car...

I Passed By My Old Apartment, A Block Away From Ground Zero

I passed by my old apartment downtown yesterday, a block away from the old WTC site. For my last year there, there wasn’t a day when I didn’t have a face off with tourists crowding the sidewalk or suits and ties making the mad dash to work. So much so that I almost forgot...

    Poem: God's Towers

Two shadows cast up above, two towers that once stood tall, stand yet even higher. Angels now fill the rooms. God loves his workers that fly about, happy and content with eternal peace. Watchful eyes peer past the clouds, as tears fall through the transparent...

    Her Name Is Alicia

She was in her early twenties, and had the most beautiful smile. I only knew her a short time. What I do remember is her happiness. She always seemed happy and so full of life. Alicia worked for me as a server in my restaurant. Like a lot of twenty-somethings she seemed young and...

I went to visit Ground Zero on Sunday.  I think that it is a fitting memorial to those that perished.  It seemed very quiet and respectful on Sunday.  It is with deep sadness that this happened nine years ago.   We live only 15 miles from Ground Zero...

    I Was 16

I remember this day quite well. I was 16 sitting in class when the teachers became quiet and brought in a TV and turned to a channel with live coverage. I remember being mad and confused and scared. I grew up in a very large military community. Ft Hood, TX is the...

    How It Has Effected Me

Not as dramatic as others. I didn't know anybody near there, but I did have friends that knew people there. I am sad for those that are lost and family of those that are lost. I was in contemerary issues in high school when it happened. We had to do reports from the newspapers...

I don't think we will ever forget 9/11.  A tragedy beyond. I hope I'm wrong and something tells me, this is far from being over.  (I don't mean to scare anyone but I just feel something's up!).  Do you feel something too or not at all?

    We Will Never Forget

I am  not here to hear about conspiracies or anything else today. I am here to remember. Remember the lives lost and the promises made. We made a promise! Alas for many in this life promises are made only to be forgotten. There are no degrees of honesty. You are or you...

    Remembering The "victims Of 911"

Though I was not near it nor did I know anyone in the twin towers I felt it hard just the same. So much distruction, so much suffering. And for what? War, or terrorism is something I never understood. We say it is for our country and yet we do to others as they have done to us...

    Eyes Of A Child

Unlike most people who saw the towers go down in real time i didn't. That day  i was at school in classroom 121 in the 1st grade. When the planes hit the towers my whole class was told to go down to the basement of the school. At that point we were all scared out of our minds...

    I Remember 9/11

It was the second week of 6th grade and I was 11 years old. I remember I was walking into the school gym for PE class and my gym teacher had us go to the school library instead. We were wondering why we had to go there and our teacher said "If you all be quiet...
