    They still want us dead.

    We act like we are safe. Why? Just remember we got through it. We are stronger than their hate. Canada felt it to. We were on high alert. We cried. I'm not naïve anymore. Eyes wide open.

    My mom called me from work to tell me

    that the US was getting bombed. I turned on the tv just as the second plane hit. I will never forget watching the towers collapse. I still can't watch when they show it on tv.

    I was sitting in a customers office.

    We all went running to their conference room to watch it on tv. Afterwards I drove into town. All the air traffic has stopped the interstates were bare. What a odd feeling that I will never forget.

    One night when we were leaving to cross the

    hudson on tugboats to get home, A young girl ran up to us and was handing out photocopies of a list of names of missing loved ones from students in a class together. It was a thank you letter. I still carry it all frayed in my wallet.
