    Oh Yes

    I even remember days before the automated payroll.... money actually being deposited directly into your bank account. I remember my first job out of school.... every fortnight (not monthly no) everybody would stand in line in front of one of the bosses who would check the name...

    Personally, I think things are a lot easier now, and convenient.  At least until you have to go up and use a teller.  These people are more familiar and wound up with following every policy to the letter -- as though they're eager to screw you over -- than getting to...

    Let's see the teller remembering my name, writing checks to cash, using a credit card and writing one check for what I charged at the END of the month instead of immediately being debited.  Ahhh the good old days.
